I decided that I would love to introduce several artists in the Louisville area. When we opened our gallery in the Mellwood Art Center, we met several artists and have gotten to know them pretty well.
We met John Thompsett when we were walking around the galleries looking. He is a character and we hit it off right away. KJ, one of our models, loves his hats and he let her try one on. (BTW, We bought her that hat for Christmas!) To see more of his hats, visit his Facebook Page. If you did not realize, hats are big in Louisville especially during Derby Season, which is just around the corner.
Below you will see Izzy's Little Creepers FB description. You can become a fan by visiting his FB Page!
Welcome one and all to the Darker Side of Lousiville Art!
Izzy's Little Creepers, located in Mellwood Arts Center, will be specializing in things that go bump in the night, skeletons in the closet and monsters under the bed.
Our offerings will be from several Louisville artists who walk just this side of the norm! We will showcase art work in the genres of Day of the Dead, Zombies, Autopsy Sculptures, Gothic Paintings, Specialty Dolls, Animatronics, Victorian Halloween,Music by Sonic Epitath, Collections by Joshua Vance, Dark Creation, Dusty June, John Thompsett and so much more.
We are currently recruiting artists, sculptors, photographers, writers and other creative geniuses who wish to have a place to show off their slightly tilted views of the world. For more information on becoming an artist at ILC, please email Dusty June.
So take a moment to whistle past a graveyard and plan on coming to see us soon at Mellwood Arts Center!
